Solo Travellers
At Diversity Charters, our cabins are sold on a Twin Share basis, meaning our cruise fares are priced per person based on two guests sharing a cabin. We understand that not everyone has a travel companion ready to explore the Kimberley or Rowley Shoals, which is why we offer several flexible options for solo travellers wanting to join a cruise aboard with us. Many of our solo guests come onboard as strangers and leave with lifelong friendships and future travel companions.
Share With Another Solo Traveller
Our most popular option for solo travellers is sharing a cabin with another same-sex guest. DiversityII and DiversityIII vessels both feature a limited number of Twin Bedding cabins, making it comfortable and practical for solo travellers to share a cabin in seperate beds. To help facilitate the guest-match, we encourage you to get in touch to join the waitlist to connect with other solo travellers prior to the cruise. This option allows solo travellers to enjoy the experience without paying for sole occupancy. Alternatively to secure the cruise you can book the full cabin (2x per person fare) and if we find a match we will refund you the second persons fare once they have confirmed their booking.
Sole Occupancy Cabin
Prefer your own space? Solo travellers are welcome to book an entire cabin for themselves by purchasing both berths within the cabin. The rate for sole occupancy is calculated at 2x the standard per person fare. This option is ideal for guests who value extra privacy, comfort, or simply want their own cabin during the expedition.
Standby Solo Option
We also offer a Standby Solo option for guests who are flexible with travel dates. Solo travellers can join our standby waitlist and, if a cabin becomes available within approximately two weeks of departure, we may be able to offer sole occupancy at 1x per person fare. This option works best for guests who can travel on shorter notice and are happy to wait for last-minute availability.
