2028 Kimberley Solar Eclipse Cruise
Broome to Broome return trip | 9 Day Duration
On 22 July 2028, witness one of the world’s most extraordinary natural events from aboard one of our luxurious power catamarans. As the Moon passes directly between the Earth and the Sun, the Kimberley will witness a Total Solar Eclipse, with more than five minutes of complete day time darkness as the Sun is entirely covered by the Moon. Combined with the Kimberley’s renowned dry-season weather, clear skies and dramatic landscapes, there is no better place to experience this once-in-a-lifetime event.
As a local family-owned and operated cruise line, the Kimberley isn’t just somewhere we visit, it’s our backyard. With just 12 guests onboard, this 9-day expedition takes you beyond the reach of larger ships to experience the Kimberley the way it should be seen: up close and hands-on. Cruise through Horizontal Falls, witness Montgomery Reef, stand beneath King Cascade, swim in secluded freshwater swimming holes, try your hand at fishing, mud crabbing and oystering, and enjoy an included 45-minute scenic helicopter flight and 2-hour coastal scenic plane transfer. On eclipse day, you’ll be perfectly positioned to witness this rare celestial spectacle before continuing your Kimberley adventure with exceptional food, personalised service and our expert local crew.
More than an eclipse cruise, this is an opportunity to experience one of Australia’s true wilderness regions during one of the rarest astronomical events of our lifetime.
